Experience and training

Highly specialized care. Distinctly caring surgeons.

Our highly specialized team of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons, Cynthia Kelly, MD; David Hahn, MD and Daniel Lerman, MD have dedicated their careers to the field of complex limb treatment, including bone and soft tissue cancers. Because of this narrow focus, the team has more experience with rare conditions and injuries, often innovating techniques, and treatment plans for each patient.

While the field is technical and extraordinarily complex, our surgeons have a unique ability to connect with patients. They believe in caring for people with diseases and conditions—not just the diseases and conditions themselves. Due to the nature of necessary treatments, our team often works with patients for many years — from consultations and surgery through recovery and maintenance. The team develops deep relationships with each patient while providing patient autonomy in every decision with the patient’s goals always front of mind.

Colorado Limb Consultants (CLC) are also active in the field, participating in research, The Limb Preservation Foundation and being vital members of the Institute for Limb Preservation. CLC is affiliated with Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, HCA/HealthONE and the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute.

Nurse navigators

Colorado Limb Consultants has nurse navigators who will work with each patient to guide them through the treatment process. These experienced nurses are focused on individual patient needs and work with them along with their family to ease the stress that may be associated with ongoing care.

HealthONE Institute for Limb Preservation At Presbysterian/St. Luke's Medical Center

Institute for Limb Preservation ® (ILP) is group of physicians that specialize in complex orthopedic care, to which other orthopedic surgeons often refer. For more than 30 years, this group—located at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center (P/SL) and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children(RMHC)—has established itself as the Rocky Mountain region's premier medical community to evaluate and treat diseases and trauma that affect the extremities.

Publications and presentations

Our surgeons are actively participating in research and the advancement of complex orthopedic and orthopedic oncology care. This commitment to provide the latest and most advanced care to patients is the focus and passion of Colorado Limb Consultants.

The Limb Preservation Foundation
